Whose work you are looking at
PlumbMatch is a referral service and does no plumbing work. Any job shown here belongs to the plumber who did it and carries their business name. You always know whose work you are looking at.
We never show stock photos, sample jobs or work nobody did.
What a job shown here includes
- The kind of job, such as a gas hot water swap or a cleared sewer line.
- The area it was in, not the homeowner's street or house.
- The plumbing business that did the work.
- Photos the plumber took, used with the homeowner's written permission.
- The month the job was finished.
The kinds of job we pass on
When plumbers join, they pick the kinds of job they take, and they only see jobs of those kinds.
Each kind has its own page on what the job involves and what to ask: hot water, blocked drains, leak detection, burst pipes, gas work, toilet repairs, tap repairs and bathroom plumbing.
Judging a plumber's past work yourself
Ask the plumber for photos of a job like yours. Someone who does a lot of heat pump installs or drain relines will have plenty.
Look up their licence before they start. Our guide on checking a plumber's licence shows where, state by state.
Read their Google reviews for jobs similar to yours, and see how they answer the unhappy ones. How to choose a plumber has more on what to look for.
We do some of this before a plumber gets their first job from us: the licence, insurance, ABN and a read of their Google reviews. How we check plumbers sets out each step.
Tell us how your job went
Once the work is done, we'd like to know how it went. Send a note to info@blufire.com.au and include your first name, your suburb and the name of the plumbing business.
If you're happy for your job to appear here, say so in that email. Without your written OK, we never show it or any photo of it.
If something went wrong, the complaints page says who to tell first.
