Complaints and disputes

If something has gone wrong, the first step depends on who it is about. A problem with the work goes to the plumber who did it. A problem with how PlumbMatch handled your job or your details comes to us.

A problem with the plumber's work

  1. Tell the plumber, in writing

The quote, the work and any warranty are theirs. Say what is wrong and what you would like done. Keep the quote, the invoice, photos and messages.

  2. Tell us

We want to hear about any plumber we matched you with. Email info@blufire.com.au with your first name, suburb and the plumber's business name. We check that plumber's licence again straight away. Complaints also count when we decide whether a plumber keeps getting jobs from us.

  3. Take it further if needed

If the work may break plumbing rules, or the plumber may not hold the right licence, contact the licensing body for your state, listed below.

Regulators do act

Consumer Affairs Victoria issued a public warning about one plumbing company in May 2025, after more than 60 complaints. In NSW, two plumbing businesses had their licences cancelled in June 2026 after findings that included gross overcharging and pressuring consumers.

Stop and get advice before paying if

  • After a quick look, the job is suddenly called complex and urgent.
  • You are quoted thousands of dollars and asked for a large deposit on the spot.
  • There is no written quote, or no itemised invoice at the end.
  • You are pushed to decide before you can get a second opinion.

What we cannot do

Tell us the problem. We'll find the specialist.

We match your job with a local plumber who does this kind of job, licence checked.
