From your problem to a plumber's call
You tell us the job
Hot water, a blocked drain, a leak, gas or something else. Then where it is and the best number to reach you.
Local specialists see it
We check your phone number is real. Then plumbers who do your kind of job, work in your area and hold a current licence for that work see the job, your first name and your suburb. A blocked drain is shown to plumbers who clear drains, a heat pump to those who install them.
One plumber takes it
The first plumber to take the job gets your first name, phone number, email and message. No other plumber gets your contact details. If nobody local takes it within 48 hours, plumbers elsewhere in your state may see it.
They call you
The plumber talks the job through, visits if needed and quotes. You deal with them directly, and whether you go ahead is up to you.
Who sets the price
The plumber who takes the job sets their own price, and we have no say in it.
Only one plumber can take each job, and only that plumber gets your phone number and email. A plumber who knows the job is theirs alone can give it proper attention, and you get one call, not a ring-around. We never sell your details to anyone.
What we check before a plumber joins
- The licence, on the state register: the name, the number, the type of work and that it is current.
- The jobs they specialise in, so they only see work they do.
- Public liability insurance and an active ABN.
- Their Google reviews, read by a person.
What we are not
PlumbMatch is not a plumbing business. We don't send plumbers out, set their prices or do the work. Any quote, contract and warranty is between you and the plumber.
If something goes wrong with a job, tell the plumber first. If that doesn't fix it, tell us: we want to know, and a plumber who lets people down stops getting our jobs. The regulator in your state handles licence complaints.
