How your area is set
You give us a list of suburbs or postcodes. You see a job when two things line up: the homeowner's postcode is inside your list, and the job is one of the kinds you signed up for.
There is one exception. A job that no local plumber takes within 48 hours can be shown to plumbers elsewhere in the state who do that kind of work, so you may see one from further out. Taking it is up to you.
Whether an area can be yours alone, and how many plumbers share one, are covered on a call with you before anything is signed.
Where homeowners come from
PlumbMatch has pages for each state and territory, from capital cities such as Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane to regional centres like Toowoomba and Bunbury. The locations index lists them all.
A city having a page says nothing about how many jobs come from it, and we will not guess at job numbers for any area.
Working across a state border
Every licence is checked on the register of the state the job is in. Albury and Wodonga are a good example: a job on the NSW side needs a plumber on the NSW register, and one on the Victorian side needs a plumber on Victoria's.
If you cover both sides of a border, send us your licence details for each state. Each one is checked on its own.
What to send us about your area
- The suburbs or postcodes you take jobs in.
- The mobile number that new jobs should be texted to.
- Whether you take urgent jobs, and when.
- Your licence number for each state you work in.
Regional and country plumbers
Apply wherever you work. A plumber covering a country town and the farms around it can join the same way as one working the inner suburbs, so list the postcodes you will really drive to.
