What Everhot is
Reece describes Everhot as "a range of electric, gas, and heat pump hot water systems made by Rheem Manufacturing, exclusively at Reece". Its gas storage heaters are Australian made, in Rheem Australia's owned and operated facilities.
There's a commercial side too, with heavy duty electric and gas heaters and above bench boiling water units.
Everhot has no website of its own that we could open. Reece's brand page is where the range is described.
Choosing an Everhot type
Electric storage is the like-for-like swap for an old electric tank. Gas storage needs a gas supply at the house.
The heat pumps are the electric option to price if you're leaving gas. Solar Victoria names a heat pump as one efficient electric choice for Victorian homes replacing a worn-out gas system from 1 March 2027. Check what applies before you replace.
Questions to ask
- Which Everhot model are you quoting, and what's its full name on the invoice?
- Reece mentions warranty on selected products: is this one of them, and on what terms?
- Where are the warranty conditions written for this model?
- If a part fails, will you source it through Reece?
Warranty and parts
Reece's page mentions warranty on "selected products" but doesn't set out the conditions. Get the owner's guide for your model at handover, and keep it with the invoice.
Because the range is only sold through Reece, parts usually come the same way. Ask the plumber how they would source one if your heater needs it.
What we would do
Get the exact model name on the quote and the owner's guide in your hand before the old heater goes. Because you can only get Everhot through Reece, choose a plumber who buys there and will chase parts if needed. A plumber who specialises in hot water will be used to that.
